Clamping jaw for clamping the inner tubes of suspension forks.
Forks are often not clamped properly when removing or installing the fork crown. When clamping without precisely fitting clamping jaws, very high clamping forces are required to prevent the fork tubes from twisting, which in turn can lead to permanent deformation of the fork tubes. The consequences of deformation are serious, such as poor responsiveness, the fork tilting during compression, severe wear on the slide bushings, or even leakage from the seal rings.
The S-TECH clamping jaws, on the other hand, allow for very gentle clamping of the components. The clamping jaws are CNC-milled and adapted to the tubes with tight manufacturing tolerances. In combination with the generously dimensioned clamping surface, this results in very high frictional engagement even at low clamping forces applied by the vise.
